The 'Genozo Lion' was designed by Sir Percy Metcalfe to advertise Genozo Toothepaste Ltd. The piece stands 7.1 inches (18cm) tall and is 9.4 inches (23.9cm) wide.
When the lion is facing to the right the text on the base reads 'GENOZO'. Facing left the text reads 'BRITISH MADE GENOZO and on the front of the base 'GENOZO TOOTH-PASTE'. The piece was only produced in blue.
*The embossed 'k' on the underside of the piece is indicates Pearl barley glaze. However the glaze to the underside of the lion appears to be white.
